Safety The Hawai'i State Science Olympiad is committed to safety in and out of the classroom, and especially during our annual Olympiad. We hope that all students, teachers, parents and coaches that are participating in the Science Olympiad practice safety during the preparation for events and during the Olympiad itself. Before and during the Olympiad we encourage and in some cases require the use of the following items: - sturdy work gloves (for anything that needs to be built or handled) - safety goggles (for eye protection during anything involving projectiles, construction or laboratory activities) - lab aprons (for use in laboratory projects and when working with chemicals) Please review the safety guidelines and requirements for specific events before Saturday, March 3, 2007. |
