Elementary Science Olympiad (ESO) is open to all public, private, charter, and home schools in Hawaii as well as groups that involve students in grades 3 – 6 (i.e Cub/Girl/Boy Scouts and after school programs).

Schools MUST register to be eligible to compete in any of the events! There will be no registration fee for teams this year. Each school/organization will be allowed to register up to two teams.

Information regarding the 2024-2025 Elementary Science Olympiad season competition events can be viewed in the document below.  The rules for this season's events are currently a work-in-progress and will be finalized in the near future.

The ESO directors will be hosting a Coaches Clinic for interested teams this season on 12/7/2024. This is a chance for both new and experienced ESO coaches to learn more about the events, how to prepare, and have their questions answered directly by the event supervisors.

​The Hawaii Elementary Science Olympiad tournament will be an in-person tournament in early March 2025; the location and date/time will be announced in the near future. Registration fee for the tournament is $100; please contact the tournament director, elementary@hsso.org or esodirector@gmail.com, if your school faces financial hardships regarding providing payment for the tournament.
